Africa Angels Network (AAN) is a pan-African angel investor network connecting early-stage African startups with individual investors and family offices across the continent and diaspora. Facilitates deals from $25K–500K as syndicates. Members include seasoned African executives, entrepreneurs, and diaspora professionals who provide both capital and mentorship.

Status (24 Sep 2026): a network of angel groups rather than a fund, so there is no single cheque or decision-maker. Tickets across the network run from about US$5,000 to US$250,000, though 77% of cheques between 2022 and 2024 were under US$25,000, which is the realistic expectation. Africa now has more than 110 active angel networks, up 27% since 2022, and network members have backed more than 5,000 companies since late 2021. Route in is through local member networks and pitch events.
