Egypt's official incorporation authority, now fully online
The General Authority for Investment and Free Zones is the Egyptian government body that incorporates companies, operating an e-services portal that handles the filing end to end.
Use when
You are incorporating in Egypt and want to file with the authority directly.
Skip when
You have no Arabic-speaking help on the ground and would rather a firm handle the e-signature and follow-on registrations for you.
LLC registration moved onto the GAFI portal and is now handled there rather than at a service centre, so this is the route rather than one option among several. The step that catches founders is the e-signature: you need a token from a licensed provider such as Egypt Trust or Misr for Central Clearing before you can sign the articles, and that is a separate errand with its own lead time. Incorporation is not the finish line either, since the tax ID, commercial register and social security registration follow. Filing direct costs the same as going through a service centre, so an agent is buying you handling, not access.
