Status (20 Aug 2026): NOT currently open; the last window closed 15 January 2025 and the fund says future calls will be announced. Instruments include grants, debt and equity. Commercial companies should not assume grant eligibility: GIF generally reserves grants for public-benefit outputs or evaluation, while business growth may be financed through debt/equity. Funding is staged, due diligence can take six to nine months, and the solution must have credible scale and poverty impact.
