Status (8 Sep 2026): the 2026-2027 cycle is closed and the 2027-2028 application is not yet announced; the previous cycle opened in November, so expect a Q4 2026 window. No cash grant is attached. Criteria: aged 24 to 45, citizen or permanent resident of an African country (or five years' residence), at least three years of relevant experience, professional English, and not currently a candidate in an electoral campaign.
