Intuit's cloud accounting product: invoicing, expenses, bank reconciliation, payroll add-ons and multi-currency. It carries built-in tax rates for a number of African jurisdictions including Nigeria, and is sold through local resellers in Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Uganda and Rwanda. Most accountants you hire will already know it, which is usually the deciding factor.
Use when
Your accountant or bookkeeper already works in QuickBooks, you invoice in more than one currency, or you expect to be audited and want records in a format any firm can open.
Skip when
You need deep local statutory filing. Subscriptions bill in US dollars, which is an FX cost and a card problem in markets with limited international payment access, and country-specific filing usually still needs a local product or an accountant on top.
Billing is in USD through Intuit or in local currency through a reseller; the reseller route is often the practical one where international card payments are restricted. Confirm which statutory reports your jurisdiction accepts before committing.
