Algeria's public venture fund for labelled startups
A public venture capital fund established in 2020 to finance the growth of Algerian startups, taking minority stakes in companies holding the national startup label.
Use when
You run an Algerian startup, hold or are pursuing the national label, and want domestic equity funding.
Skip when
You are not registered in Algeria, or you have not obtained the startup label - that is the practical gate.
Status (8 Sep 2026): applications run through the ASF portal on an ongoing basis. Track record: roughly 3.5 billion DZD accumulated since 2020 and around 120 startups financed. In practice ASF funding is tied to holding the Algerian startup label, so secure the label first. Alongside ASF, the ecosystem includes Algeria Business Angels (about 60 active members, roughly 40 deals closed across 2024-2025) and a growing set of pan-European funds looking at the market.
