You are pre-pilot or unregistered, or you are not willing to give a funder a board seat - and do not apply as a probe, since a decline costs you a year.
Status (8 Sep 2026): rolling year-round with no deadline. Award: up to US$300,000 unrestricted over three years, usually tranched. A legal entity is required - 501(c)(3) equivalents, C corps, B corps, hybrids or fiscally sponsored organisations. Stage gate: post-pilot and pre-scale, typically two to five years old; idea-stage and pre-pilot are explicitly excluded. A DRK senior team member takes a board seat for three years, and you may only reapply twice, no sooner than a year after a decline.
